Inspiring Volunteering: A Volunteering Strategy for Edinburgh

The Edinburgh Inter-Faith Association is a member of iGIVE (the Implementation Group Inspiring Volunteering in Edinburgh), which is tasked with helping to take forward the Action Plan of Edinburgh’s first city-wide volunteering strategy Inspiring Volunteering This strategy identifies the vision, key aims and actions for the development of volunteering in Edinburgh from 2007-2012.

Volunteer – the difference you’ll make is priceless!

Every day hundreds of people are making a difference to the city and themselves. Volunteer and you could be one of them!

Volunteers come from all walks of life, and at the Volunteer Centre everyone can find a volunteering opportunity that’s right for them.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people; develop or learn new skills; get work experience and a current reference; increase your confidence; and get a real sense of satisfaction from doing something worthwhile.

Volunteer Centre Edinburgh continually updates a database full of interesting and varied volunteering opportunities available in and around Edinburgh. You can search available volunteering opportunities online or drop into the Volunteer Centre or one of theirVolunteering hubs to find-out more. You can also speak to a Volunteer Advisor on the phone, call 0131 225 0630.
