Today on a global and personal level we are facing faster and
more challenging changes than at any
other time.
Join us for a very interesting evening with Sister Maureen
who is the Programme Co-ordinator for the Brahma Kumaris at
their international co-ordinating offi ce in London.
As well as being an international speaker, a lot of Maureen’s
work is with community groups developing the University’s out
reach work in prisons, health care, education, women’s issues
and inter-religious dialogue. She has been a student and teacher
of Raja Yoga for nearly 35 years.

Sunday 25 January, 7.15-8.30pm 20 Polwarth Crescent Edinburgh

The Brahma Kumaris World University (BKWSU) was founded by Brahma Baba in the 1930s. Inspired by a series of revelations, he dedicated his life to bringing his vision into reality. He saw a world where people of all cultural, socio-economic and religious backgrounds would come together to rediscover and develop the spiritual dimension of their lives.

From small beginnings in India, from one individual’s powerful vision, the BKWSU has grown to fl ourish in nearly 120 countries. Based on respect and generosity, so prized and personifi ed by Brahma Baba, we see the dream of a higher quality of life coming true despite the seeming chaos of current times. An order is emerging, for many people are realising the importance of spiritual values and looking for a direction to follow. We just need eyes to see what these times are heralding and how soon. One of Brahma Baba’s revolutionary inspirations was recognising the importance of promoting women as spiritual leaders in a world that had forgotten how to interact with true love and happiness. With music and audio visuals, join us in celebrating 40 years of tireless service to humanity and share in the wave of spiritual newness that is rising to face the challenge of violence and despondency.

FACING CHANGE
Sunday 26 October 3.00-5.00pm

We all know that change and variety is built into life and is something to be welcomed. Things would be boring if they were always the same and it also means that if the good ones don't last, then neither do the bad.

However, change can also be feared and unwanted, especially if it is unexpected and happening at a faster speed than we can cope with. How can we comfortably face today's uncertain world where almost everything is changing not only speedily but inexplicably?

Join us for a very interesting talk and workshop with Barry Jareckyj who has had to face and overcome many difficulties in his life.
