One aspect of Edinburgh Inter-Faith Association’s work is furthering Inter-Faith dialogue at a grassroots level in schools and youth centres. EIFA organises visits by representatives of different Faith communities to Primary and High Schools across Edinburgh, to give students the chance to learn about different religions first hand. We believe that showing students the cultures and communities they have read about in textbooks consist of living-breathing people who live around them is essential in making their engagement with their studies more comprehensive.
EIFA has a network of contacts from the various and diverse faith communities of Edinburgh. We can put schools in contact with experienced and accessible Faith representatives. We can also assist with arranging visits to local places of worship.
If you are seeking to apply for a faith representative to visit your school, kindly please download and complete the following form. Then e-mail it to: firstname.lastname@example.org
