FIRST MINISTER TO VISIT SIKH GURDWARA IN LEITH
The Rt. Hon. Alex Salmond, First Minister of Scotland is to visit the Edinburgh Gurdwara this Sunday March 15th. He will attend the 1pm service and give a short address to the community in the prayer hall. He will then meet and eat Langar with the community and guests. The Sikh Community extends an invitation to its brothers and sisters of all faiths.

CITY HONOURS SIKH 300th ANNIVERSARY
The Lord Provost honoured the Edinburgh Sikh Community on Wednesday 22nd October by hosting a Civic Reception to mark the 300th Anniversary of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji's Gurgaddi Diwas. This special date for Sikh’s world-wide marks the day when the sacred Sikh scriptures were exalted to Eternal Guru by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1708.
The Lord Provost was joined in the City Chambers by other elected members, religious leaders and representatives of other faiths.
